2007 Lodi Viognier
A veritable tropical fruit bowl, this delivers a nose of banana, pineapple and coconut. Added to these tropical fruit aromas are the same tropical fruit flavors, plus ripe pear and the tartness of Granny Smith apple on the palate. Grape acids are in balance with the fruit, creating a crisp and refreshing wine. This would go well with curry and other spicy Asian food.

Non Vintage Howl At The Moon
The full moon sets out to sea, while a steady breeze delivers the unmistakable fresh Pacific air, fragranced with gorgeous cherry, plum and vanilla. One sip reveals an incredibly lively wine, as powerful as an ocean wave, flooding the mouth with a progression of the extracted juices of a finely roasted beef, spiced with sweet white pepper, followed by choice Mexican vanilla and a sustained crescendo cola of plums and dried cherries. You will be howling for more.

2006 Alta Mesa Syrah
Aromas of plum and chocolate rise out of the glass and on the palate we taste black plum and dark chocolate, but slightly less pepper than usual in Syrah. Texture and length of finish is good. In spite of a high 15.8 percent alcohol level, the wine is not as hot as might be expected. This medium to full-bodied red will stand up to sturdy beef stews and enhance a Hungarian Goulash.

Non Vintage Lodi Syrah
A hint of tobacco and pepper on the nose leads into blackberry and black pepper flavors. The substantial amount of fruit, plus tannic acid levels hold the high alcohol (15.5 percent) in check and provide good texture in the relatively long finish. Enjoy this with chili con carne or other beef dishes with tomato-based sauces

2003 Lodi Red Dessert Wine
This sweet, very limited release wine is made from Estate-Grown Syrah harvested late, allowing the sugar content to build up in the extra-ripe grapes. Grape brandy was then added in the style of Portuguese Port, creating higher alcohol content and intensifying the sweetness. Aged for five years before release, the result is a smooth textured, flavor and aroma package of dark chocolate, raisins and prune plums. Drinkable now, it will continue to improve with more age. This warm sweetness, contrasted with the sharp saltiness of a blue-veined cheese, such as Gorgonzola, is a fine food-and-wine match-up to bring any meal to a satisfying close.

2005 Alta Mesa Syrah
Good levels of sweet currant and blackberry fruit on both nose and palate, backed by sufficient acidity, make this evenly textured red easy to sip. Hints of baking spices and chocolate linger on the extended finish. The pepper of Syrah is present, in this case, white pepper, in this wine of medium body.
